MAA 118 consist of 3 units: 1/MAA 118 placed south of Hanstholm armed with 17 cm ship guns, 2/MAA 118 placed on the cape of Hanstholm armed with heavy 38 cm ship guns and finally 3/MAA 118 placed on Agger Tange.

The command and administration were placed in some buildings south of the 38 cm batteries.
