Besides the big gun emplacements in 1/MAA 118 and 2/MAA 118 there was several hundreds other bunkers in the fortification area. Some of the bunkers had a wall thickness of up to 3,5 m.

The bunkers were build after the german "Regelbau"-system. Below you can see the bunkertypes placed in Hanstholm.
